It’s nice to meet you
Hi! I’m Kelly. Welcome to my world 💫
I am a person of extremes, of ever changing dynamics. I am wise yet naive. I am efficient yet restful. I am intelligent yet creative. I am strategic yet receptive.
I am constantly evolving. After discovering my neurodiversity in 2023, I believe I have un-become most everything I am not, and have re-built my life from the ground up as the person that I am (rather than the person society wants me to be).
Before I had an explanation for my uniqueness, during my late 20’s I found myself gobbling up esoteric & psychology based schools of thought. I participated in Co-Active Coach Training, Human Design Reader Training, Mediumship Training & Reiki Training. These experiences taught me the value of trusting something that can’t be seen. Things that your mind can’t always process - feelings, thoughts, intuitions & dreams.
Alongside these experiences, I have found many books that are also teachers. The ones that come to mind are Atomic Habits, The Soul of Money, The 100 Year Life, Mindset, Radical Candor, Rework, Untamed, Emotional Intelligence & Set Boundaries Find Peace.
The journey I began at 25 years of age has led me to supporting people in owning their difference, rather than living the life that their parents, society or their friends want for them. At 25, I decided to commit to living a life full of joy as I defined it. And 9 or 10 years later, I arrived.
I believe it’s never too late to start. And any step is a good step, so long as there is a step. I am a guide that moves people & businesses forwards along their paths.
And remember - there’s no rush. That success & satisfaction you’re after is happy to wait for you.
— Kelly’s journey —
My journey to a life focused on supporting people in owning their difference began when I failed miserably in my first management role at Uber.
Thankfully, not long after this bumpy start I was poached for a new job at Snap where I got the opportunity to build a new 10 person team from scratch. This was my second chance at guiding others, I wasn’t going to get it wrong again.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that this was the beginning of my journey into understanding and mastering human behaviour.
In starting as a leader at Snap, I approached management like a science. By conducting experiments and carefully analyzing my results, my management improved through each experience. I successfully created a team where multiple people I hired told me “I changed the course of their career” - a fact I still cherish to this day.
In 2018 I came across my first coach. I couldn’t quite believe there was a profession where you could JUST do the “people side” of management. It became my dream: to have all the time in the world to get really damn good at positively influencing human behaviour.
By 2019 I’d hired my own coach. They helped me make the identity shift required to transform into the human behaviour influencer (aka coach) I knew I could be. This was the 6th time I’d pivoted what “I did” for a living. I’d gone from having a career as a manufacturing engineer, to data analyst, to ops manager, to customer experience manager, then to product manager.
The move from product manager to coach felt massive in comparison - it was not just changing my title, but a fundamental shift in how I operated. I went from left brain to right brain, IQ to EQ. I needed the support of someone who believed in me more than I believed in myself to make it happen.
As I built my business from scratch, I explored my values system. I discovered Human Design (the ultimate system for human behaviour); I got certified in reiki healing; I trained in mediumship; and I read a LOT of really good books. I completed Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way.
Come mid 2022, I’d reached 500+ hours of coaching (something only 10% of certified coaches do) and found myself with a thriving business alongside a slower, more creative and intentional life that I love. I transitioned from becoming a coach to being a coach.
At the same time, I was gifted the initiation into motherhood with the birth of my daughter in the summer of 2022. I saw my values shift yet again, and I was gifted the tangible knowledge that I am neurodivergent. I’ve always known I was different, and was finally given the proof. Instead of an accelerated return to work, I found myself instead (hyper😛)-focused on creating systems that allows me to feel successful as a mother & an entrepreneur — and not burn out at the same time.
When I did come back to work in 2024, I realized there was an opportunity for me to thrive at the intersection of all of my professional experience (Industrial Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Coaching, Creative Entrepeneur-ing and Energy Healing) while honoring my passion for supporting people in owning their difference. Kairos Studio — a Customer Operations transformation agency — was born.
Alongside this, I have found personal growth in advising mission driven founders who want to grow their business, while at the same time honor their uniqueness.
But above all else, I know I am here to “simply” innovate a new way of living. I have never been one that is average. Nor do I want to be! By standing firmly in my authenticity, I am impacting those around me. I choose to question societal norms… and talk about it. Like how we rush from thing to thing. Or how we tick item after item off the to-do list. Or how we’ve forgotten that giving is actually the most powerful way to receive. And of course that giving our attention is the ultimate gift we can bestow upon those in our world.
The only thing I know for certain is that journey is never over. And that is the exact beauty of the journey, isn’t it 🧚🏼♂️
